Live Bhutan – 14 days/13 nights tour


Chimi Lhakhang

1st day
Arrive at Paro. Drive to Punakha via Dochula pass. Visit to Chimi Lhakhang and farm houses on the way. Visit to Punakha Dzong. Night at Punakha.






2nd day
Long drive to Bumthang passing through Pelela pass, Trongsa valley and Yutola pass. Sightseeing on the way. Night at Bumthang.
3rd day
Visit to Jakar Dzong, Kurje Lhakhang , Jampa Lhakhang, one of the oldest temple in the country and Tamzhing monastery. Visit of farm houses and Membar Tsho (burning lake). Leisure time at town. Night at Bumthang.
4th day
Drive to Trashigang.. Sightseeing and leisure time at town. Night at Trashigang.
5th day
Visit Trashigang Dzong. Drive to Trashi Yangtse and visit Chorten Kora and Gom Kora Lhakhang. Drive to Mongar. Night at Mongar.
6th day
Visit Mongar Dzong, farm houses and local markets. Drive back to Bumthang. Night at Bumthang.
7th day
Long drive to Wangdue. Visit Trongsa Dzong and Gangtey Goemba on the way. Night at Wangdue.
8th day
Visit Wangdue Dzong which is under renovation. Visit to Rinchengang village and leisure time at Bajothang town. Drive to Punakha. A short hike to Pho chu suspension bridge. Night at Punakha.

9th day
Hike to Khamsumyulay Lhakhang, which is built in the name of our present king. Drive to Thimphu. Leisure time at town and vegetable market. Night at Thimphu.
10th day
Visit to Changangkha lhakhang, Memorial chorten and Buddha point before lunch. After lunch visit to Folk heritage, Textile museum, mini takin zoo and Trashichoedzong. Leisure time at town. Night at Thimphu.
11th day
Hike to Tango monastery and visit to Dechenphug Lhakhang. After lunch drive to Paro. Visit National museum and Rimpung Dzong. Leisure time at town. Night at Paro.
12th day
Day excursion to Haa valley via Chelela pass. Sight of Mt. Jumolhari if the sky is clear. Visit Haa town. Dirve back to Paro. Night at Paro.
13th day
Hike to Taktshang monastery (the Tiger’s nest). Later visit to Drukgyal Dzong and Kyechu Lhakhang. Night at Paro.
14th day
Drive to Paro for departure.
